Some of the happiest couples I know are not even engaged yet and none of them have any plans to get engaged yet. One couple I knew got engaged before the guy was ready. He only proposed because he thought she would leave him. Now they are broken up. My sister and her BF didn’t get engaged until they were 10 years into their relationship. And they are my favorite couple I know. 100% made for each other. And they waited until both were ready for it. Personally I’m screwed. I proposed to my gf because I felt pressured into it. We’re getting married in a month from now. I have never dreaded something so much before. I tried to talk to her about it but it ended up in an argument where she basically gave me an ultimatum. Either we get married or we’re threw. In a panic I said we could get married. This whole ordeal was made me question the person I thought was my true love. At this point I think I’m only with her because of our daughter. I’m wondering if she really wants to be married to me or if she just wants to get a wedding. It doesn’t feel like our wedding. It feel like it’s her wedding and I am going to play the role as the groom. I can’t just call it of. Family and friends have already booked plane tickets and hotels to be there. Moral of the story: don’t get married until you’re completely sure you’re ready. If not it’ll just lead to resentment towards the other.

i was just eading some comments it was very hard on me and my ex now when we lived in newton raising a baby girl our family lived in ga and we raised our daughter with no help. think about your move and being away from family can be hard.

im just now catching up on youtube and hearing about your miscarriage. im so sorry youve had to go thru this! my first two pregnancies ended in miscarriage within 3 months of each other. it was absolutely devastating. after that, we tried for another year with no luck. we were finally able to conceive with fertility meds and get pregnant. our son is now 11 years old. anyway, going thru the miscarriages was so difficult at the time and i will always remember those babies, but once i had my son, it made me appreciate him so much more, if thats even possible 💖 sending love and prayers to you and your family!

The clips of Nova at the very end just broke my heart to pieces 😭 What a beautiful sweet puppy she was, certainly didn't deserve her misfortune. You've just experienced a huge shock and there's almost zero familiarity to fall back on right now in your life so your brain is closer to chaos right now than it is to comfort. Identify what too will pass and learn to slow down otherwise. You might also need to go back and figure out how to implement more independence in your life because that's where your confidence lies.

Just my two cents in terms of Zander, as a man who is 49 years old. I believe his issues lie with a lot of life changes happening so quickly and I also think he may have lost his sense of independence. Men often cater to their partners because it's their nature to do so but sometimes they lose their sense of self/independence along the way. For instance, now he can't just visit his brother close by to break away from things. Men aren't interested in going out to meet new people when they move and traditionally rely more often than not on brothers and friends. Especially if he's working from home and not socializing at work. If you are living semi-rurally, men need their independence based on building things (carpentry), taking care of farm like animals, working on cars in the garage, just something that gets them out of the house. Something that's very consistent and separate from their partners. Where their partner isn't involved. There's nothing worse for a guy than being stuck indoors all the time in a house in a rural kind of setting. Next to having brothers/friends, men need to have outside the house (but on the property) independence and their final 'fall back' during times of extreme stress is intimacy as a pressure relief. The straw will break the proverbial camel's back if that part isn't there.
